Trusting in God

So, yesterday I started working on our new family budget since we will be going to one income. As I started to crunch some numbers, I realized that this one income living is going to require a lot of trust in God to take care of us. I'm sure if we had consulted a financial adviser before making the decision for me to be a stay-at-home-mom then we would have been denied, but that's not who we consulted. We knew that having at least one parent at home was what the Lord desired for us. I'm excited about being a SAHM. It will be an adventure and a growing experience. Also, I get to use some of my strengths for budgeting and finding ways to pinch pennies. I know that we won't live a fancy life. I don't want to look around when my children are grown and gone and see a bunch of nice stuff knowing that I could have spent more time with them instead. I'm not willing to sacrifice time with my family for a big screen tv, nice clothes, and fancy cars. I'm thankful for what God has blessed my family with and even though it will get hard sometimes, I know that God is in control.
